L’ESPRIT D’ESCALIER plays with the metaphor of a thought that comes too late, like words or ideas that only surface once the conversation is over.
Here, the staircase becomes the symbol of these inner pathways: steps that rise and fall, interrupted trajectories, impossible perspectives that invite one to get lost.

The design draws on Escher’s graphic legacy but is reinterpreted in a contemporary, architectural, and sculptural language, at once rational and poetic. The volumes repeat themselves into a vertical labyrinth, evoking a mental city, a landscape of memory.
