Symposion — Conversational daybed

Part of the Symposion collection, this conversation daybed is a unique piece carved from seven fragments of a single block of Arabescato Fantastico marble. Conceived as both a geological and domestic arch, it transforms raw mineral mass into a space for exchange, rest, and shared presence.

More than a piece of furniture, the daybed is imagined as an inhabitable landscape: a welcoming, gently curved seat that invites one to lie down, converse, contemplate, or observe. Its form emerges directly from the stone — created without preliminary drawings through an intuitive dialogue between the designer and the master craftsmen of Les Marbreries de la Seine.

Comfort is provided by a bespoke upholstery crafted by Le Lit National, dressed in a Dedar fabric, softening the rigor of the marble and creating a delicate encounter between mineral strength and textile warmth.

Situated between furniture and artwork, this daybed proposes a new way of inhabiting stone, not as mere decoration or structure, but as a living vestige meant to be experienced.
