Pi — Paper-weight, Archik

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the Archik agency has brought together 10 artists and designers dear to its history, inviting them to reinterpret objects drawn from the world of books.

For this collective exhibition, I imagined, together with the Italian family-run manufacturer Fornace Brioni, a piece entitled Pi: a paperweight composed of two interlocking terracotta circles, one in plain clay with an ecru tone, the other crafted using the traditional variegato technique, which blends different colored clays to create unique marbled patterns.
