Anthony, J\u00e9r\u00e9my and Aur\u00e9lien started talking a few years ago, driven by their love of Marcel Proust and beautiful chairs. This complicity, both aesthetic and literary, now takes shape in a long-term collaboration between the artist and the Gallery. The Filiations exhibition is the first step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Ren\u00e9 Gabriel, Rapha\u00ebl Raffel, Pierre Guariche, Marcel Gascoin\u2026 Through the Filiations project, I wish to pay tribute to these French designers from the mid-20th century who were able to mark their era with pieces with a singular but accessible design.
These designers have paved the way for a concrete approach to so-called \u201cstandard\u201d furniture with high standards of quality and style. I chose some legendary furniture models that I wanted to draw because drawing is taking the time to observe, to perceive. Drawing is also the best way to pay homage to my eyes. An assembly detail, a subtle angle, an association of materials\u2026 elements that make up the specificity of these pieces of furniture-icons of French decorative arts.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
