SYMPOSION<\/strong> takes shape from seven blocks of Arabescato Fantastico marble<\/strong>, among the last available of this quality. These fragments originate from an exceptional project carried out by Les Marbreries de la Seine<\/strong> for a suite at the H\u00f4tel Crillon<\/strong>, designed by Karl Lagerfeld<\/strong> and Aline Asmar d\u2019Amman<\/strong>. Set aside at the conclusion of this commission, the marble retains the memory of a place, a gaze, and a precise architectural context. SYMPOSION<\/em> extends this existing narrative by offering a new reading of a material already inscribed with history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Developed without preliminary drawings, the project emerged through a direct dialogue with stone and craftsmanship. The conversation daybed, sculptural chair, and floor lamp were crafted by Les Marbreries de la Seine<\/strong>, then further shaped through the encounter of rarely associated savoir-faire: Le Lit National<\/strong> signs the upholstered comfort of the seating, while the floor lamp combines marble with rattan crafted by Mich\u00e8le Thom\u00e9<\/strong> and washi paper made by Fabien Ifir\u00e8s<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conceived as a collection of living vestiges<\/strong>, the project questions how a material charged with history can be displaced toward new uses.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
